Application & Login
Who can apply as an Affiliate?
Anyone with a crypto audience — YouTubers, newsletter writers, Twitter/X and Telegram communities,
blog operators. You don't need to be a certain size, but we prefer channels with real engagement
rather than bought followers. Approval decision within 5 business days.
How does passwordless login work?
You enter your email on /affiliate/login and receive a magic link by email —
valid 15 minutes, single-use. Clicking it creates a 30-day session. No passwords, no phishing risk,
no reset hassle.
What happens if my application is rejected?
You receive a brief reason by email and can re-apply after addressing it. Most common rejection
reasons: no demonstrable real audience, channel with return promises or shady crypto advertising.
Tracking & Attribution
How is a click attributed to me?
When someone visits temto.ai/r/your-code, we set two first-party cookies
(temto_aref + temto_aref_a) with a 90-day lifetime. If the visitor
registers within that period, you are attributed as the referrer. Clicks are logged with
HMAC-pseudonymized IPs — GDPR-compliant.
How long does the attribution cookie last?
90 days from the last click on your link. This is market-standard and gives the
visitor enough time to decide without last-touch competition muddying the water.
What happens if I click my own link?
Self-referrals are detected and blocked. Multi-layer detection: matching normalized email with your
Affiliate account, identical IP within 24 hours of your admin session, bot User-Agent. Detected
self-referrals are flagged and trigger no commission. Repeated abuse leads to
suspension.
Click throttling — what does it mean?
Maximum 20 clicks per IP/hour on the same Affiliate link. More are silently dropped
(no error for the visitor). Protects against click inflation and accidental bot refreshes.
Commissions & Payout
How high are the commissions?
Tiered — First-Year on the first payment, Recurring on every renewal:
Spark (Entry): 25% / 10%
Nova (≥5 paid/30d): 30% / 12%
Storm (≥20 paid + 3 sub-affiliates): 35% / 15%
Polaris (invitation only): 40% / 20%
Plus sub-affiliate overrides 8% / 4% / 2% up to depth 3.
What does "Refund Clawback" mean?
If a referred user is refunded within the first 60 days, the corresponding commission
is automatically reversed (status clawed_back). Only after 60 refund-free days does your
commission move from accrued to available and become payable.
At what amount is a payout triggered?
Minimum payout: 100 €. As soon as your available
balance reaches this value, you can request a payout in the dashboard. Manual approval + transfer
within a few business days.
SEPA or crypto?
Both possible: SEPA bank transfer (EUR, standard for EU accounts) or crypto (USDT, BTC).
Your choice at payout request. Processing takes similar time in both cases.
How is tax handled?
You receive an annual commission statement for your accounting. Tax obligations rest
with you as Affiliate — Temto does not withhold any tax. In Germany, commission income usually counts
as other self-employed income (§18 EStG). We are not tax advisors — ask your accountant.
Compliance (MiCAR)
What advertising statements are allowed?
Allowed: Performance data with clear timeframe + disclaimer "Past performance is not
a guarantee of future results", explanations of how the software works, factual comparisons with
other tools.
Forbidden: Return promises ("guaranteed profit", "X% per month"), individual
investment advice ("Coin Y will rise, buy now"), forged screenshots, FOMO / urgency manipulation.
MiCAR Art. 88 mandates clarity about risk.
What happens on Charter violation?
First time: warning + request to correct. Second time: suspension of Affiliate status for 30 days,
accrued commissions are frozen. For repeated or grave violations (e.g. forged performance posts):
permanent termination + forfeiture of all accrued commissions. In case of legal violation we reserve
the right to civil action.
Do I need my own license?
As an affiliate / intermediary, generally no — you advertise a software analytics
platform, not financial or investment products. However, if your content provides individual
investment recommendations (which the Charter prohibits anyway), you may quickly enter licensing
territory. When in doubt: consult a lawyer or read MiCAR compliance documentation.
